At the quiet edge of Fernwood lived a young fox named Finn. He had a bright copper tail, quick little paws, and one very large worry: Finn was afraid of the forest after sunset.
Each evening, when the sky turned blueberry blue, the woodland children skipped to the clearing for Moonlight Story Circle. Finn wanted to join them, but the path curled between tall trees and shadows seemed to whisper behind every fern.
One golden evening, a firefly blinked beside his window. Finn took one careful step, then another. Beneath a mushroom cap, he found a small hedgehog with a spilled basket of berries. Together they gathered every berry, and Finn walked beside his new friend while the firefly lit the turns.
When they reached the clearing, Owl opened a silver book and said, “Courage is helping someone while your fear walks beside you.” Finn smiled. The path home no longer felt dark. It felt like a secret friend saying goodnight.
